Personal Profile

I believe everyone has an Astronaut Dream. When I began my career, I initially had plans to become a movie director. It's so far from where I am now that I can't help but laugh when I think of how wrong I was on my first choice. Intentionally, I always left technology as a back-up. What I realized was my passion for technology is my greatest strength.

I was pretty much set when my I took over an old Dell Inspiron my dad had lying around from work. To friends and family, it was always between him and I when there was a computer problem. It was my entry way to the world of computers.

I discoverd programming during my time in high school by writing LUA scripts for video games I enjoyed. I did not know I was programming, but I had problems that needed solving and LUA was the answer. Soon after, I picked up Java in another class and began to understand what I had been doing.

It just stuck.

Since then, I have learned more about myself and my career goals. I continue my path of learning and exploration in some of my free time. You can see what I'm messing around with on my github. I have a lot of motivation for success and I hope I can influence others positively with my skills.

I'm always working on side projects listed on this website. One day one of them will make it big! In the free time leftover I like to play online video games with friends, watch TV shows, read books in coffee shops, play violin and (sometimes) make it to the gym.

Job Seeking

The difference between junior and senior programmers is: junior programmers write code that can be maintained by senior programmers, while senior programmers write code that can be maintained by anyone.

Dossier Systems

King of Prussia, PA / Web UI Developer
July 2016 - November 2017

Dossier Systems makes software for the fleet and trucking industries. With their software package, the chore of keeping track of items such as preventive maintenance scheduling, oil changes, tire pressure and other needs on hundreds of simultaneous vehicles becomes simplified.

At this role, I was the lead front end developer and only front end developer on a team of about fifteen people. Working closely with other C# backend devs we upgraded an old 1990's software system to a modern web interface. Being the only UI developer in the shop, I was responsible for making key decisions towards the direction of the project with concern to technology and design. I met with clients to suit the customer's needs and conversed with business leaders at Dossier to find a solid middle ground that met everyone's expectations.

Some technologies used included Javascript, Jquery, Kendo UI, Gridstack.js, Bootstrap, Material Design, and many other various third party Javascript frameworks.

Philidor Rx Services

Hatboro, PA / Software Engineer
May 2015 - December 2015

Philidor Rx Services is a mailing pharmacy that electronically receives patients’ prescriptions for medical drugs and ships them to patients within the 46 United States.

I began work as a junior developer and helped grow the production support team. I developed various tools to improve workflow and participate in my-actives to support and enhance an extremely fast growing company with more problems than people it had to solve them. Technologies I worked with include C# .NET 4.5, MVC 4.0, ASPX, Javascript/JQuery, JQuery UI, Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and Powershell scripting.

Daschbach Dentistry

Landsdale, PA / Web UI/UX Design and Development
March 2014 - Present

Daschbach Dentistry is a family owned dental business. The business had expressed interest in revamping their current website to appeal to modern design standards with updated information about their business and the people who work there.
This is a side project for me which I pursue in my free time in hopes of expanding my web design and development knowledge, as well as showing initiative in carrying out free lance work. Currently, a demo website has been produced and requirements documents are being written based on the feedback from the demonstration meeting. This website utilizes HTML5/CSS3 technologies and standards, Google's Material Design practices, Javascript, JQuery, PHP and Twitter Boostrap.

iPipeline

Exton, PA / Associate UI Developer
June 2014 - March 2015

iPipeline develops technology which creates electronic formats for paper forms being used in the insurance industry. As a UI Developer, my job is on the Illustrations team where I manage, tweak and fix issues on any user interface associated with the illustrations team. iPipeline uses a privately developed language which is translated to Javascript on compile to create its user interface for illustrations.
Other job responsibilities include Crystal Reports and iOS / Android mobile development.

Capstone Project, TA Updates System

Temple University / Philadelphia, PA
September 2013 - May 2014

A two semester course which employed our team of three to design, from scratch, a web application based upon an existing business process for the Vice-Provost of Undergraduate Studies within Temple. Our application is currently published and being used today. The office is responsible for evaluating transfer courses and our project helps the office with this process by improving work-flow and reducing repetitive tasks.

Maxeta Technologies

Software Engineer Intern / Skillman, NJ
May 2013 - August 2013

My time at Maxeta gave me real-world experience in the software development life cycle. While there, I generated reports using Visual Studio, was able to test a current application getting ready for deployment, generate test scripts on this application, wrote SQL stored procedures and researched current programming topics either of interest to the team or myself.

Philadelphia Gas Works

Information Services Help Desk Intern / Philadelphia, PA
May 2012 - April 2013

PGW gave me a solid start in the Information Technology industry, as well as a part-time job during the school year. While there I would troubleshoot for various users located throughout the company and use the resources available to learn more of the IT world. I was able to see functional networking, security, development and database management departments.

Disappointed Analytics

Completed August 2017

Analytical data for items received in World of Warcraft and members participating in the game. This website makes sense of the data aggregated through the Disappointed Bot. Groups of people need to work together to play this game, but must share the rewards. The data being collected helps to break down what is actually happening within the game. When there are 20 people and 4 rewards, 16 people begin to wonder if those 4 people really deserve what they received. This website is still being optimized, but is intended to be shared as a tool for others who may find it of use.

This website utilizes HTML5, CSS3, Angular, JQuery and good ol' Javascript.

Disappointed Bot

Completed: June 2017

Discord Bot, written in Node.js, to track users' leave of absences and process item data created in World of Warcraft. A member requirement is set in place by the game to participate in various activites. Therefore, information about who is able to attend the in-game events important. This bot tracks who will and won't be able to attend by storing data for absenteeism and requests not to attend events.

Using the Discordie API, this bot was developed in Node.JS. It was also my first Node.js application and first time using the Discord API.

Disappointed

Completed: October 2016

Advertisement website for a World of Warcraft guild. It becomes difficult to find individuals with passion and a will to succeed in this game. A great way to show them you're not just a face in the crowd is to have a great website to be represented by. This website is updated often depending on the state of the game.

Press Start

In progress

Video games are an inspiration to me. They're typically exceptional in software, but just like a good book or movie there's also a story to be told. This site is dedicated to my appreciation of the development teams' first chance to impress their users. To most, these are known as start screens.

Press Start is my first venture into the Angular world. It heavily depends on the technology and is probably written very poorly.

Daschbach Dentistry

January 2016 - August 2016

What started as a chance to gain experience into UI/UX/Web design/development turned into a small free lance project. As a family member and a friend, my uncle's dentistry website needed an update in terms of design, content, user accessibility and administration control.

Murph Button

Sometime when Insterstellar was in theaters

Random fun project to learn some CSS3 and HTML audio elements. That and I once saw a few other similar button projects really wanted to replicate.
